Your new role

Our client are seeking a talented DevSecOps Engineer to join their rapidly growing team, playing a key role in integrating security practices into our DevOps processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, operations, and security, with expertise in implementing security controls, automating security testing, and ensuring compliance across systems and infrastructure.

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to design, implement, and maintain secure and compliant CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and deploying software, incorporating security testing tools such as SAST, DAST, and IAST.
2. Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible, ensuring security best practices are followed.
3. Conduct security assessments and penetration testing of applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments.
4. Provide guidance and support to development and operations teams on secure coding practices, security tools, and security best practices.

What you'll need to succeed

Key requirements include:

1. Proven experience as a DevSecOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in software development, operations, and security.
2. Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
3. Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including hands-on experience with security services and controls.
4. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI, and version control systems such as Git.
5. Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible, and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
