Hays is partnered with a multinational energy & infrastructure business with a global presence in 30+ countries. The organisation is seeking a full-time Accountant to be based in their Dubai office, to be a part of their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an accounting professional to support cross-border operations and gain exposure to diverse markets and business practices.
- Responsibilities:
- Record daily transactions in accounting systems
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Prepare and post journal entries (e.g., accruals, deferrals, provisions)
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and subledgers
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS)
- Ensure timely submission of reports to headquarters
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or similar
- 2+ years of experience within the accounting function
- Oil & Gas, Shipping, Manufacturing, similar industry experience is ideal
- Fluency in Dutch, French and English is mandatory
