Legal Counsel - Real Estate

The client is an international real estate consultancy with offices in Dubai.


Your new role

To act as Legal Counsel and provide sound legal advice across a range of legal disciplines with a focus on real estate, civil law, commercial law, employment law, companies law and to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.


Your Duties

  • Support company operational activity on a day-to-day basis
  • Drafting/reviewing/amending contracts to include services contracts, supplier agreements, letters, tenders, applications and ensuring compliance with legal frameworks and regulatory guidelines
  • Finalise agreements by performing miscellaneous tasks, such as highlighting textual changes in draft agreements
  • Establish adherence to applicable laws and regulations, international best practice standards, policies and procedures
  • Provide legal and regulatory advice in order to minimise financial, legal and reputational risk
  • Support the head of the legal department by keeping up to date with new legislation and regulatory changes that may impact the organisation and conducting legal research as required
  • Monitor and update standard templates as required
  • Support the head of legal in maintaining corporate governance best practice
  • Maintaining databases and arranging filing
  • Participate in meetings and committees as instructed by the head of legal
  • Performing any ad-hoc tasks as required by the business, include printing, coping, scanning and filing

What you'll need to succeed

  • At least 3 years of legal experience gained from a reputable/recognised law firm and a proven background in general corporate and commercial legal work
  • Knowledge of real estate, civil law, commercial law, employment law, company law would be advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s and master’s degree from a recognised/reputable university in law
  • Active membership from a recognised legal associate or regulatory body from a common law jurisdiction
  • Middle Eastern experience
