A fintech company are seeking a highly skilled Principal Cloud Security Engineer to join their dynamic Security team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in safeguarding the organisation, products, and customers by leveraging your deep technical expertise and leadership abilities across a wide range of security domains.
While this position does not involve direct management, it demands a high level of leadership and mentorship. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive security initiatives and guide team members based in multiple global locations.
Your new role
In this position you will:
- Architect and implement robust security solutions on AWS and GCP cloud platforms
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to identify and mitigate security risks
- Conduct thorough security assessments and incident response activities
- Foster a security-first culture through awareness programs and training
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the security team
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you will need:
- Proven track record in cloud security with a minimum of 13 years of experience
- Strong technical proficiency in AWS and GCP security services
- In-depth understanding of security best practices and industry standards
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
