We are currently assisting one of the region’s leading commercial law firms with their search for a Senior Credit Controller to join their team in Dubai.

Your new role

Reporting to the CFO and Managing Partner, this role is responsible for monitoring the portfolio of the customers, tracking and collecting debts, developing policies and procedures for the credit control function, conducting credit checks and limits for customers, Preparing ageing reports, statement of accounts, account reconciliation, and monitoring changes in the payment terms of the customers.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Debt collection
  • Implement company collection procedure
  • Debt reporting, monitor debtor balance
  • Reconcile complex accounts
  • Review and resolve disputes with overdue accounts
  • Maintain Periodic Credit Control
  • Evaluate Financial Situation of Customers
  • Lead Collection and Reconcile Credit

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this position the candidate must have a minimum of a bachelor’s in accounting or finance related subjects, any additional certificates or degrees are an asset (ACCA, CMA, CPA etc.)

Candidate must haves:

  • Experience working in law firm or similar field
  • Able to manage a large debt portfolio
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred
  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal and leadership skills
