Head of Finance - Holding Company - Power - Communication - Technology - Kuwait

We are partnered with a top holding Company based in Kuwait and are looking for a Head of Finance.

Job Overview:

To lead the finance department and provide crucial insights into financial planning, reporting, and performance analysis. Plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of all financial processes, managing the finance team, and supporting the business in achieving its strategic financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and reporting.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to senior leadership.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the annual budget, track financial performance, and provide analysis on variances.
  • Cost Control: Identify areas to reduce costs and improve efficiencies, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  • Internal Controls: Ensure the integrity of financial statements by establishing strong internal controls and compliance processes.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with other departments and senior leadership to align financial strategies with organisational goals.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop the finance team, ensuring professional growth and alignment with department objectives.
  • Risk Management: Assist in identifying and mitigating financial risks, ensuring a robust risk management framework.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a finance leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel.
  • CPA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
