Hays are supporting a growing Industrial Manufacturing company in Riyadh, who are looking to recruit a Financial Controller to join their team.

Your new role

The Financial Controller will lead the full finance function across a team of 8 individuals, for a newly acquired subsidiary in Riyadh. The role will include:

• Lead the financial integration of the subsidiary into the MNC’s global finance framework, including opening balance adjustments and alignment with Group Accounting Policies.

• Establish and implement a robust month-end closing process (transitioning from annual to monthly closing).

• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and the MNC’s global reporting requirements.

• Develop and implement internal controls to ensure SOX compliance.

• Collaborate with the MNC’s global finance team to align local processes with corporate standards.

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.

• Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial data to the MNC’s regional office and Corporate HQ.

• Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing actionable insights to the VP Finance, Sales Manager, and Operations Manager.

• Manage cash flow, working capital, and budgeting processes.

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.

• Manage and mentor a team of 8 finance professionals, including 2 direct reports.

• Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, US GAAP, and Group Accounting Policies.

• Implement and maintain a strong internal control environment to mitigate financial risks.

• Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency and profitability.

• Support strategic initiatives, including cost optimisation, pricing strategies, and investment decisions.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.

• Must be a fluent Arabic and English speaker.

• 10+ years' experience in Finance, including at least 5 years in a leadership position.

• Background working in the Manufacturing industry is essential.

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and internal controls.

• Experience working within US, EU or UK multinational corporations (MNCs) would be beneficial.
