Finance Director - Al Khobar

The Finance Director is responsible for leading, guiding and directing the organisation and its associates' financial and accounting services by developing financial strategies, business plans and policies, defining accounting practices, building relationships with institutions and the financial community, overseeing the investment planning, directing treasury, budgeting and risk insurance, producing accurate reports on where money is going within the business and improve or change current practices to increase efficiency.

Your new role

  • Oversee the development and implementation of the organisation and its associate’s business plan and budgets.

  • Ensure ongoing alignment with the corporation's overall strategy and direction.

  • Manage to the Board agreed risk profile the investment requirements for the organisation and its associates, providing financial assessment of new ventures / businesses as required.

  • Provides financial and operational advice, recommendations, and guidance to the operating units in ways that make optimal use of all the organisation and its associates' financial and non-financial resources

  • Define and oversee the organisation and its associate’s financial strategy (i.e. treasury, financial planning & budgeting, financial investments).

  • Direct and manage short-term, mid-term and long-term operational and investment plans to ensure liquidity while minimising interest expense.

  • Negotiate and obtain new bank facilities as required by the company and optimise bank facilities utilisation based on current requirements.

  • Analyse external influences such as interest rates, credit availability, competition and global business trends and advise management on how to optimise performance during such events.

  • Optimise the use of foreign exchange by designing and implementing a new “profit centre” for the organisation and its associates.

  • Assist in determining the right audit firm is responsible for completing the audits on time at the highest possible standard.

  • Ensuring the organisation and its associate culture and professional standards are fully understood, implemented and maintained throughout the Finance and Accounting Division.

  • Direct and oversee the development of department policies, procedures and processes to maintain efficient operational excellence to achieve the organisation and its associates' overall strategic objectives.

What you'll need to succeed

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting and commerce, Finance or equivalent as must
2. Master’s in finance preferred.
3. Registered Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant.
4. Minimum 15 years of related experience at a senior management level.
5. Knowledge of IFRS, Corporate Governance principles, understanding of fraud reviews/investigations.
6. Excellent knowledge of IFRS and CMA rules and regulations is required.
