NOW HIRING A DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Your new company

Our client is a large multi-billion USD hospitality project based in Saudi Arabia. They are one of the projects leading the 2030 vision and are currently looking to expand their Development team in Riyadh.

Your new role

As a Development Director you will be responsible for managing the unique stages of the project throughout the development process starting from feasibility into the construction stage. You must also ensure the project vision is carried out with the highest possible quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of development including managing the design process, coordinating regarding permitting, budget preparation and management, negotiation of agreements, and coordination with all parties
• Develop feasibility studies and set the targeted project budgets and returns
• Manage and coordinate design consultants in collaboration with the design department
• Conduct market research as and when necessary to maintain timely intelligence regarding development plans and revenue projections
• Keep abreast of regulatory changes affecting development requirements in order to take advantage of or compensate for the changes which may impact the project
• Manage the development team knowledge base regarding Residential, Hospitality, Office, Retail, Attraction, and other asset types.
• Execute the development and implementation of the approved development plan, schedule, and project budget(s) in collaboration with project delivery and executive teams to meet milestones, quality, budget and completion targets
• Coordinate with projects stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle of the project
• Recommend solutions to assure effective development management process is taking place which meets project targets for scope, quality, schedule and cost
• Monitor industry trends to ensure companies project pipeline is aligned with market demands
• Work with external stakeholders to define the vision for the asset development
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure project meets the vision and delivers on organisational mandate
• Compile and present on monthly project progress reports
• Compile and present to executive management on project design and development updates

What you'll need to succeed

• 18+ years’ experience working with Development / Design / Project delivery
• Previous GCC experience
• Currently working as a Director
• Previous experience delivering a SAR 800m+ project from inception through to completion
• Previous experience working for a top tier Developer / International Consultancy
• Previous experience on high end hospitality projects
• Hold a relevant industry degree
