Your new company

My client is looking for a Cost Accountant with 2 years' experience in a similar role. You will also need to be ACCA, CPA or CFA Qualified.

Your new role

• Analyse wholesale inventory costs and flows to improve margins.
• Support the company’s wholesale sales to bricks-and-morter and e-commerce retailers. Manage customer contracts and invoices related to supply agreements, consignment agreements, and delivery and other service arrangements.
• Analyse retail sales, stock turnover, and margin to optimise retail assortment.
• Control physical inventory in warehouses. Implement bar-code reading systems and associated business processes for inbound and outbound inventory flow. Lead periodic stock counts and reconciliations.
• Develop a production accounting system to calculate the cost of goods sold for finished products.
• Create business processes and install technology tools to track product flow through production processes. Control inventory in production business unit.
• Control physical inventory in retail stores. Implement processes for purchasing, receiving, stock counting, and reconciliation.
• Analyse corporate overhead to understand cost drivers. Prepare budgets and reports. Recommend improvements to processes to increase profits.
• Provide managers with reports relating to cost and margin. Recommend improvements to inventory management processes to increase profits.

What you'll need to succeed

• Accounting skills; ACCA or CPA designation a plus
• Financial analysis and reporting skills
• Familiarity with ERP; Microsoft Dynamics a plus
• Experience with statistical analysis a plus
• Experience with SQL programming a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other relevant field
