Chief Accountant - Family Office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Hays have partnered with a Family Office who are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to join their team in Riyadh.


As the Chief Accountant, you will take ownership of the family's personal and investment-related financial activities. This is a standalone role, where you will oversee financial management across multiple investment structures and jurisdictions while acting as a trusted advisor to the family.


Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full spectrum of personal and family office finances
  • Maintain accurate accounting records across local and international investments, and personal holdings under family ownership.
  • Prepare periodic financial reports and insights
  • Oversee cash flow management, budgeting and financial planning.
  • Manage fund transfers across entities and ensure accurate recording.
  • Support consolidation across multiple structures.
  • Lead the upgrade and implementation of accounting software.
  • Improve financial controls, processes and reporting frameworks.
  • Liaise with external advisors, auditors and banks where required.
  • Interface directly with family members with professionalism and discretion.
  • Operate with high confidentiality and trust.
  • Work independently while providing strategic financial input.


Experience Required:
  • Must be a Chartered Accountant - ACCA is preferred, CA or equivalent.
  • Background within Big 4 Audit Firms is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end accounting independently.
  • Prior experience working within Family Offices, HNWI or private wealth structures is essential.
  • Fluent Arabic and English skills are required.
  • Able to work autonomously in a standalone role.
  • High attention to detail, discretion and integrity.
