Hays' client, a prominent and highly diversified holding company based in Dubai, is seeking a versatile Associate Director to join its forward-thinking Technology / Software division. Your new role

• Designing, building, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance engineering solutions.
• You'll manage end-to-end projects across multiple industries, requiring a highly versatile and adaptable approach.
• Your key responsibilities will include leading software and full-stack development, managing cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines, and operationalizing machine learning models.
• You'll work closely with product owners, data scientists, and IT architects to translate business needs into technical roadmaps, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.
• This is a managerial / lead role
• You'll be expected to lead, mentor, and build a strong team culture.

What you'll need to succeed

To excel in this role, you'll need at least

• 8+ years of experience in a software engineering role (Ideally with prior experience in a full-stack role), with a minimum of
• 2+ years in a formal line management or mentorship capacity. You should have a proven track record of leading complex projects to completion and implementing effective team processes.
• You'll need a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and DevOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins).
• Familiarity with MLOps frameworks like MLflow.
• A deep understanding of data architecture, APIs, and microservices.
