Findings revealed that UAE-based women are more career-driven than a large number of those in Europe. Within the UAE, the report identified men to be marginally more ambitious than women with 21% of males wanting to reach CEO or MD level, versus 18% of UAE females.
2016 is to be a less buoyant year for salaries and opportunities in the GCC compared to the previous 12 months. Employers’ sentiment for the year ahead is positive yet there is less optimism than in 2015 and the market Is looking as though it will deteriorate.
51% of employees think their salary will increase by 11-15% in 2016, while only 9% of employers agree
49% of employers feel ‘positive’ or ‘very positive’ about the outlook for 2016 (down from 69% in 2015)
